Chinese Music Camp 2022 中樂文化夏令營
The Canadian Chinese Orchestra is pleased to present to you the Chinese Music Summer In Class Program, in collaboration with Yip’s Canada.
This is a perfect opportunity for your child to explore Chinese music and culture this summer. This program is built upon creating a strong foundation for musicianship to start or enhance your child’s music learning journey—they will be doing hands-on learning to explore a few popular Chinese traditional instruments (Erhu, Guzheng, Zhongruan and Flower Pot Drum). Participants will also be able to engage in a variety of community-building activities to enrich their appreciation for Chinese culture, including Chinese folk dance and arts, Chinese music theory, and many practice sessions!
The camp will be taught by our artistic director Amely Zhou, yangqin virtuoso Zhang Di, and dizi performer Sophie Du!
This program will take place from August 2-12, Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm at Somerset Academy (7700 Brimley Road). The cost of this is $480, and all children ages 6-14 years old are welcome to join—no prior music or art experience is required!
To register, please call 905-948-9477 ext. 2100 or visit 100 Lee Ave to register in person.
